Privacy

Your connection stays under your control.

Comment Writer does not operate an AI proxy. It connects directly to the provider or local server you configure.

Source code

Only the Swift source you select for generation is sent to the active AI service. When you use Ollama on this Mac, that request stays on your Mac. A remote Ollama address or cloud provider receives the selection according to the address you configure.

API keys

Provider API keys are stored in macOS Keychain. They are retrieved when Comment Writer or its Xcode extension contacts that provider. They are not stored in the website, your source files, or the shared model configuration.

Settings

Provider addresses, chosen models, and the active provider are stored in Comment Writer’s shared app container so the app and Xcode extension use the same selection.

Website

This static website does not include an account system, contact form, advertising tracker, or application telemetry endpoint.

Provider policies

Your selected provider may retain or process requests under its own terms. Review that provider’s privacy and data controls before sending private source code.
